Five on Friday

Hap Happ Happy Friday!  We had an unexpected visit from the Keenan side of family this week and have been enjoying every minute with them!  This weekend I'm hoping to finally finish our mudroom.  And when I say "we" I really mean Conor, because someone has to watch the baby and another someone doesn't want this someone anywhere near his tools!  Now let's get to my five...  As always, thanks to all the lovely hosts: Christina, Darci, April, & Natasha!

THE GOOD LIFE BLOG

-ONE-
Fresh halibut.  It has been showing up in the grocery stores, so we are taking full advantage of the fishing season.  This tarragon lemon dijon halibut recipe is my absolute favorite!  So easy to make; don't be intimidated.  I already have fresh tarragon & chives in my garden which makes this dish even better!

-TWO-
Sweet tea!  I have been craving it like crazy lately.  I'm not from the south, so I am no expert on the matter, but my favorite is Honest Tea's (not too) Sweet Tea.  My mouth is watering just thinking about it.  I would love to find a good homemade recipe though...  Southern bloggers, speak up & send me your best sweet tea recipe right meow!

-THREE-
Selfies.  I feel like you aren't a real deal blogger until you have mastered the art of the selfie.  I am terrible at selfies.  I have a love/hate with them.  Do you smile? At yourself?  At the camera?  Do you make a weird face to take away some of the awkwardness?  This is one my absolute worst... who doesn't love a gym selfie! :-)  Speaking of which, thank you for all your kind words on my gym post.  Your support was needed and appreciated!

-FOUR-
Liam's new do!  Another big thanks for all the sweet words about Liam's new haircut.  I think he is happy to have it out of his eyes, and I am slowly adjusting to the look of my little boy!

-FIVE-
Essie.  Last week, I received a coupon for a new Essie nail polish.  How did Target possibly know that I was jonesin' for a new color?!  And since I had a coupon, I of course had to make the purchase.  I went with Romper Room for a light Spring color.  Now maybe, just maybe I'll actually be able to paint my nails this weekend!  This is no easy feat when you are chasing around one busy little boy who is a terrible sleeper.  I just never know when I will actually have a solid 20 minutes to get this done...I'll dream big and see what happens!

Enjoy your weekend lovies!
Anyone else have some house projects planned?

  2. I have NEVER been good at selfies! Lol. The best time to paint my nails is when Sydney is sleeping! Lol.

  3. I feel the same way about selfies. I have next to none on my blog and most def ZERO on facebook. They are just awkward. And once again I love Liams haircut and keep up the goodness with that gym membership for mommy + boy!

  4. oooh I hope you find a few minutes to paint your nails, that is a pretty colour!

The hair cut is so cute! Aria's is in her eyes all the time now but she won't let me put anything on her head. I just haven't brought myself to part with any of her precious baby hairs yet.

I love Sweat Tea but I can't find any good store bought, I'll have to try Honest. If you find that perfect homemade version, do share!
