Rosemary Moscow Mule

With summer officially here, so too is the season for ice-cold beverages!  I love mixing up cocktails, especially when I can use herbs right from my garden.  So today I thought I would share my Moscow Mule recipe...with an added little twist!  Because I'm always trying to find a way to spice up the ordinary!

My brother-in-law made me my first Moscow Mule, and I have been hooked ever since.  Maybe it's the slightly spicy & refreshing taste or perhaps it's the fun of having a cocktail in a copper mug!  When it comes to Moscow Mules, the copper mug is a necessity.  I swear to you it will taste different if drank out of any other container!  I love these ones from Personal Creations; that thumb rest is my favorite part!  Also love having our monogram on their; it is subtle but adds a fun touch.  Personal Creations has all sorts of fun goodies by the way!
The ginger beer is one of the most important parts of this drink.  If you like things sweeter, then obviously choose a sweeter one (such as Cock & Bull).  We like things to have a strong & spicy ginger taste, we tend to choose the more natural ginger beers.  Most natural food stores (such as Whole Foods) will have plenty of choices.  Try a bunch til you decide on what you like.  The ginger beer is what makes the Moscow Mule!
Rosemary Moscow Mule
copper mug 3/4 full of ice
juice from 1/2 a lime
sprig of mint (slightly muddled)
sprig of rosemary (slightly muddled)
1.5 shots of vodka
1/2 bottle of ginger beer
sliced lime for rim as garnish

Now go grab your mugs & muddlers for this 'mazing Moscow Mule!
(I secretly love alliteration)
