We always try to theme our cocktails to the book for book club which makes it a bit more fun! I knew I wanted to serve gin & tonics, but with a little added twist, so I scoured Pinterest for a new concoction.... The winner was this St. Germain Gin & Tonic! I gave it a practice run last night (obviously), and it was spectacular. The elderberry liqueur really compliments the gin, and it just might be how I make all future G & Ts! -TWO-
I have been wanting a DSLR camera for quite some time now, but never thought about it too seriously! Then my current camera broke, so.....if I need a new camera anyways, I might as well go big or go home. I am particularly interested in compact DSLRs, since I think I would use something like that far more often. Erin recommended this one

Halloween costumes are already on my mind! Last year I made Liam's owl costume, which I just loved! It was special for me to actually home make the costume, so I really want to do it again. however, I have absolutely no ideas as of right now. I would really like to figure it out soon, so it is something that I can work on in the evenings and not freak out the week of Halloween! Boy costumes are tough, so it's a much tougher decision. If I were to have a little girl, she definitely be Alice in Wonderland at some point!
Conor & I finally decided on patio furniture (long ago actually), and lots of people have asked where it's from. We purchased this set from IKEA and bought the arm chairs to go with it as well. It looks a bit boring on the website, but we love the simple design in person! It has been perfect on our back deck!
Even though we are halfway through August, I still wanted to share my favorite desktop wallpaper of the month. I haven't exactly jumped on the pineapple bandwagon, but I do love this image! It's so cheery!
That gin & tonic sounds amazing. I love elderberry. We just got a beer with elderberry in it, so good!! Have a great time at your book club and weekend!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking about Halloween costumes too! We actually just ordered Noah's and I'm gonna make something for me that goes along with his ;). That Alice costume is amazing! I can't wait to see what you come up with for Liam this year. The owl was so cute last year!

ReplyDeleteOur daughters bedroom is Alice themed so were all doing a family dressed up as the characters this year. I love having kids so we can be kids again !
ReplyDeleteHow fun! Being a parent is definitely the best, because you get to relive all that fun stuff!
Deletewow you made the costume? How handy! I don't think I'm up for the task, I'm still not sure what to get for Aria. And, what cute desktop wallpaper. I totally grabbed it because I'd been annoyed with mine being fuzzy! Super cute!
