Thanksgiving Style

With Thanksgiving just a week away, I wanted to share a little attire inspiration.  My family has always dressed up for the occasion, so even though it has just been Conor & I for the past few years, we still like to get a little fancy!  I love any excuse to throw on a dress, so I always do for holidays.  It just makes the whole evening feel a bit more special!  Full disclosure though... I will not be purchasing  new outfit simply for Thanksgiving.  I'll find something cute already in my closet and call it good.  It's fun to still do a bit of browsing though!

Dress / Pearl Earrings / Ring / Bracelet
Snow Boots / Flats / Rain Boots

I love how this sweater dress is cozy yet dressy.  Plus there is plenty of room for a full belly!  Pearl earrings are always my go-to, and I though I cocktail style ring would be a fun addition.  My AGL ballet flats are one of my favorite pairs of shoes and are always classy.  However, if your Thanksgiving is going to be a snowy one, you could easily pair this dress with some boots!

Anyone else planning out their Thanksgiving dinner attire?!

  1. Not planning my thanksgiving attire as we don't celebrate American thanksgiving, but I too always wear pearl earrings. I find it hard to steer away from them, but I've been trying! haha I love that sweaterdress... it'd go with anything!! :) Have a great thanksgiving weekend :) xo

    1. I'm always a bit jealous of Canadian Thanksgiving. Ours is just too close to Christmas. I would prefer it to be after Halloween...perhaps early November! :-)

  3. Great outfit! We usually stay pretty casual. This year I'm hosting and I'm kind of tempted to wear a dress too. We will see how I feel the day of after cooking all morning ;)

  5. Cute! Love that the outfit looks dressy, but still comfy. We don't dress up for Thanksgiving, just jeans or leggings and a nice top. It's just us and our parents though.

  6. Love the different shoe options! I'm sure MI vs the west coast calls for different footwear :) Can't believe Thanksgiving is this time next week!

  7. Cute outfit! Thanksgiving is all about comfy, and this totally fits that criteria! I also feel like buying an outfit for Thanksgiving is warranted - you would wear that again and again because it's not too fancy!!
