31 Weeks (Bump #2)

Total Weight Gain: 27 lbs.

Symptoms: Braxton Hicks all the time!  Also, my midwife could not believe how low this baby is.  She recommended I start wearing my support belt more frequently, not just for running.  We'll see if I get uncomfortable enough to give in to that...

Food Cravings/Aversions:  Fruit, lemonade, & all breakfast foods.  We even had breakfast for dinner one night!

Staying Active? Four runs this week, boom!  Still on track with my same distance & speed (3-3.5, 10 minute miles).  I was definitely exhausted a couple evenings though.  The third trimester fatigue may be setting in...

Cries: Lots.  It was an emotional week!  So many big changes going on, and I don't exactly handle change very well.  To list a few, we toured a preschool (no way my baby is old enough for that right?!) & Liam decided to start potty training on his own!  More on both of these another time.  But as simple as these little things are, they have my emotional side going crazy!

Nursery Progress:  The door to the bathroom has officially been taken out and dry walled over (thanks to Conor), so we are ready to paint...once colors are decided on!  We also bought Liam a new bed & dresser, so all of his old furniture has been moved to the nursery.

Liam's Thoughts:  Literally the day after we moved out all his playroom stuff out and the nursery furniture in, he started referring to the room as Baby Finn's room!  He's adjusting to all the little changes much better than his mama!

Looking Forward To:  Interviewing & deciding on a doula!  We are meeting with two different woman and will hopefully really connect with one of them.

  3. Omg mama! I totally empathize with the emotions! We toured a preschool 2 weeks ago and I thought I was not going to make it. Good news for you about potty training though! I know it's hard knowing he is growing up a bit but he is still your first baby whether he is in diapers or not ;) you're looking fabulous, as usual!!!
