38 Weeks (Bump #2)

Total Weight Gain: 38 lbs.

Symptoms: Oh they are coming on strong now that I am so close to the end.  Heart burn, leg cramps, nerve pain, braxton hicks, & just feeling like the baby may fall out in general!  However, I love this time!  The waiting, the anticipation, the belly growing by the day.  I will be sad to see this pregnancy end!

Labor Signs: I will not be having any cervical checks done this pregnancy, so no updates there.  However, baby's head is down, and I'm pumped about that!

Food Cravings/Aversions:  I pretty much feel full all day long, so no real cravings or aversions.  Just my stomach in my throat...

Staying Active?  Yes, I fit in some hikes & walks about 4 times this week.  I'm back to wearing my support belt for these activities, because I can definitely feel the strain they put on my ever growing belly.  Have I mentioned my big belly enough...?  I seriously think I'll have another big (ish) baby...my guess is that baby Finn will be about 8.5 lbs, but I'll be happy if he stays under 9lbs!

Cries: Happy mama this week!

Looking Forward To:  A 75 minute prenatal massage!!!

  3. So excited for you! I love the anticipation of baby's arrival. Enjoy it! I delivered at 38 weeks with #2! I was literally waddling down the halls at work and baby's head was so low! Our weight gain was almost exactly the same too!

  4. You look so amazing!!!! The waiting and anticipation are so difficult for me. I swear the rest of the pregnancy, I've forgotten I was pregnant for the majority of the time but the last week I think about it 24/7. Woohoo for no cervical checks!
