Remember that crazy baby boom happening in Blogland? Well the babies are starting to arrive! Both Jessica & Jessi (who shared my exact due date) welcomed their little girls into the world last weekend! A huge congrats to them!
I have a shoe obsession, except not for me...for Liam! He's a pretty active little kid, which apparently comes with the need for many many many different pairs of shoes (or so I tell myself). All of sudden he has grown out of almost every pair he owns, so Mama has been doing a little shopping! I am especially loving these Bogs
. Perfect for rain or snow and so so cozy on the inside. Liam just loves the trucks! And they come in
adult sizes
, just in case I get the urge to do a little twinning!
-THREE-I've been hearing amazing things about epsom salt
More & more I have been into natural remedies lately. It started back when I got pregnant with Liam and then into the breastfeeding years. And since you're so limited on what you can take (as far as medicine goes) while pregnant & breastfeeding, I started researching different options. And since this cycle will probably continue for many more years to come (yay for extended breastfeeding!), I've found other natural cures. This week I've had a nasty little sore throat, so I gave elderberry syrup

Haha I love that you are a little crunchy granola! Have you tried drinking hot lemon water? I did it when I was sick but I've heard it helps in general! You'll have to let me know if those Epsom salts help Liam sleep better! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI was taking elderberry syrup in the beginning of the winter! I am confident that it kept me from getting Pete's flu (or any other bug the kids at school carry!)
ReplyDeleteNice! Why aren't you sharing these little tid bits with me?!
DeleteSorry friend! I just got a new brand this weekend and I am not a fan. But I will choke it down!
DeleteSo excited for Jess and Jessi! My friend Lynn had her baby girl last week too, so crazy the boom! Can't wait to meet your lil guy. He'll have his pick of blog land brides ;)!
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed I win the giveaway!!!!!

ReplyDeleteSo close to that sweet baby boy and I can't even imagine the shoe shopping - must be so hard to stop yourself!
ReplyDeleteSo close, glad your hubby will definitely be there! ;)
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize y'all had the exact same due date! That's crazy! Ashley and I are just a few days apart, but not quite the exact same day.
ReplyDeleteMy MIL was using the elderberry syrup the other day, she's super into natural remedies as well. I'll have to remember that for the future!

ReplyDeleteOhhhh, lavender epsom salts were my savior at the end of my second pregnancy! So, so helpful in easing back pain and sciatica.
ReplyDeleteYea!! So glad you made it through Conor's trip..!! Now wait for your momma. ;)
ReplyDeleteMust be the age/season for growing feet, we just had to do some shopping for our growing boy too (3 pairs later.., but hopefully we're covered for a while now). Definitely will be keeping that elderberry syrup in mind, thanks for sharing.
Enjoy your weekend!! Sounds like it should be a good one. :)
Yay for not going into labor while your husband was gone!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that Conor is back, and that you made it through without going into labor! Sophie came early, so I was so glad it was a day Kyle wasn't at work yet.
ReplyDeleteAnd I have to say, those boots! How adorable are they? And they're on Amazon :) wished we lived in a cooler climate so that I could buy those.
Yes, so happy Conor is back! Now I just need to wait for my mom to be here too! Liam was a few days late, so I'm expecting to go right around my due date again!
DeleteI've heard so many good things about the natural healing powers of elderberry syrup. Thankfully, I haven't had to try any myself. Glad to know it worked for you though. Definitely in the back of my mind for future reference. So glad you didn't go into labor while Connor was out of town. And yessss on the epsom salts!
ReplyDeleteYAY!!!! I'm so glad you made it all the way through Conor's work trip! What a relief. Now Finn can come anytime and you will have no regrets :)
