Hitting Your Mailbox This Week

Christmas card season is upon us!  I'm checking the mailbox multiple times a day and oohing & ahhing over every single card.  I love seeing the faces of friends & family and all the wonderful cheer that comes along with them.  I enjoy sending them just as much as I love receiving them.  Choosing the picture, the template.  Addressing them, and adding a bit of flair.  And this year I went just a wee bit overboard with all the little details.  Tiny Prints has a ridiculous amount of options and ways in which to personalize; it was difficult to narrow down exactly what I wanted.

Foil pressed?  Yes, please!  Envelope liner? Damn right!  Envelop detail? Yep, that too!  The red foil is my favorite part of our card.  So shiny.  It just screams Christmas.  And from the moment I saw the envelope designs this year, I knew I needed it!  I love that our card looks incredibly festive from the moment you spot it in the mailbox.  And of course, no card is complete without a little washi tape.  I snatched up these glittery Christmas trees at Paper Source.  I planned on using a long piece of tape, but Conor insisted I was overdoing it.  So one single tree helped to close the back of our card.

Since we (somewhat) recently had plenty of family photos done when Finn was born, I decided to skip the professional route and just have a friend take one for us.  So we all trekked up to Snowbird in search of a snowy backdrop.  It's beautiful up there!  I was hopeful we could get at least one photo of everyone looking at smiling at the camera, but that is hard to come by now that we have added a second child to the mix.  We did have a few nearly perfect contenders though.  Conor & I couldn't decide on thee one, so instead we chose to take advantage of the back of the card.

I seriously love how they turned out!  This is such a special card since it is the first one that includes Finn!  I display all our old cards on our fridge during the Christmas Season, as it is so fun to see how our family ages and grows with each passing year.  I'm sure the picture taking will only get all the more difficult whenever we add a third to our family!

Merry Christmas friends!!!

I received this product in exchange for a post, but as always, all opinions are my own.
