Both my boys are little fish in the water! They can't get enough. But with that comes confidence, which isn't necessarily a good thing. Liam thinks he can swim. He'll jump right in a pool and not worry about it. I worry! So this summer we fit in 3 sessions of swim lessons.
The pool just happens to have this crazy amazing view of the mountains. With a little hill nearby, just perfect for snapping some photos. It's the view that makes me love Utah just a tad bit more every time I see it. So while Liam swam, I lounged poolside. I tanned a little, sipped my adult beverage, and relaxed...
Oh wait. No. No, I didn't relax. Because Finn. Finn also wanted to be in the pool. But that won't be happening 'til he's three (I cannot believe I will have another summer of Finn wrangling). Thankfully, the pool has a splash pad, but he would still run straight for the actual pool any chance he got. So I was in the splash pad most of the time too!
At the end of each two week session, everyone gets a day on the slide & the diving boards. Our thrill seeker loves the high dive! His enthusiasm for all that he does always makes me smile. He has passed all his preschool level classes and is now in Level 1 swimming. We are getting closer to letting go of those floaties, and everyone is excited for that!
So the highlight real of our summer at the pool:
Liam swam.
Finn splashed.
And I tried to (but never quite) nailed a high dive shot!
'til next summer!

How FUN!!!! Love the photos so much and why does Finn seriously look two?!!! ;)
ReplyDeleteThis is so fun! And Wyatt is the same way! He loves to "swim", as he barely reaches his tippy-toes on the bottom. Can't get over the views y'all have!
ReplyDeleteI love Liam's bravery, though I can imagine it's scary for you! Noah on the other hand tells me he will go off the high diving board when he's 25... Haha!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful backdrop from swim lessons! Cash has gotten really brave this summer, too!
ReplyDeleteGirl our children are kindred spirits. Cam thinks he can swim too and jumps in with no worries. Lord it frightens me. He does really well but goodness. And Emmy has absolutely no fear.
ReplyDeleteOh love these pictures, especially the diving board pics! How pretty! Our swim lessons were at an indoor pool where it was temperature controlled to be 86. Not quite so picturesque!
ReplyDeleteI can't get over the diving board pictures! Liam has NO FEAR!!
ReplyDeleteI can't get over Liam's fearlessness! Gosh that must be so nerve-wracking for you! But seriously, he's amazing. I LOVE those high dive pictures!
ReplyDeleteThose diving board pictures are adorable!
ReplyDeleteGo Liam!!! The pictures from all of my Utah friends just take my breath away. Beautiful backdrops everywhere!
ReplyDeleteNo fear!! I love it!
ReplyDeleteYour pool wins for prettiest location EVER!
ReplyDeleteThat side-by-side pic of Finn in the splash pad and Liam wrapped in a towel... My goodness they look SO MUCH alike there!
And Liam is such a brave little soul! I expect to see him diving in the Olympics some day!
The diving board is amazing! I don't think Aria would work up the nerve. Way to go Liam! I was rather glad to have the babe in the tummy for Aria's swim lessons this year. I'm not sure how next year will go down...
ReplyDeleteI am so impressed with Liam! That is so high, and he is a brave little boy. I love the photos too because you can feel the drama through the photos. I feel like your photos should be turned into children's storybooks. You guys always do the sweetest boy activities, and your boys are so strikingly handsome (plus you always get the best shots). I could totally see the Adventures of Liam and Finn in paperback...
ReplyDeletethat is awesome.. I don't think I have the courage to jump off that board.. even with floats on. Go Liam!
ReplyDeleteThat diving board gives me anxiety just looking at it! Way to go Liam!
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous views, and super-brave boy(s) you have. How fun!!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I love all of these photos! The diving board pictures with the mountains in the background = pure perfection!
